Meet Dr. Jillian Nyquist
I am so grateful I was lead to choose orthodontics as my career. My favorite parts of being an orthodontist are unveiling new, beautiful smiles, building long-lasting relationships with my patients, and giving my patients a smile they can truly be proud of. I am honored and excited to be a part of the team at Lucas Orthodontic Group and hope I get to meet you soon!
I am originally from Paducah, KY, also proudly known as the quilt capital of the world for you quilters out there. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky, where I stayed to earn my dental degree at UK College of Dentistry. After dental school, I completed my post-graduate orthodontic training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an Andrew McArthur Brooks Fellow, where I received my Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s of Science Degree. I bleed UK Blue with a hint of Tar Heel Blue, and March Madness is my favorite time of year!
After graduation, I voluntarily completed the American Board of Orthodontics certification process to become a Board Certified Orthodontist, a distinction attained by only 30% of orthodontists nationwide.
I joined the Lucas Orthodontic Group in April of 2017, and aspire to continue the tradition of excellence in service to patients and exceptional orthodontic care. I’m a lifelong learner and regularly participate in continuing education to stay informed about the latest advances in orthodontics and dentistry.
I have been married to my husband, James, for five years and we have a two-year-old son, Brooks, and a newborn daughter, Marcie. We are thrilled to have moved to Nolensville and look forward to becoming a part of this community. Outside of the office, I primarily enjoy spending quality time my family and friends. My family and I enjoy traveling, spending time at Kentucky Lake and Smith Lake during the summer, hiking, and cheering for the UK Wildcats!
I'm a member of numerous professional associations including the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and Tennessee Association of Orthodontists.
